Not to turn this into a total scientology post, but, I think much of scientology is largely pseudo-psychology / psychosematic, & then the rest, purely & simply psycho...but given the magazine itself & the motives[?] behind Jr, I don't know what to believe...but it's pretty obvious that it's quite simply a "majorly screwed-up" situation...

I like the latin, the Weather Report nod, and of course, "Frank Gambale on the 'Geetahhh'" (as Chick would call it). It blows that last smooth jazz Elektric Band CD out of the water IMO.

I got it. Starts with a bang and slowly fizzles the rest of the way. I also bought Inside Out at the same time. I think Inside Out has all what a CCEB/Weck fan wants. That album rules.
I will be giving To the Stars some more chances to rise above Inside Out, but I don't think it's gonna happen.

Not only that, lots of Hubbard's quotes can also be found written on his records. #2 "To The Stars" is THE most scientologist project Corea ever produced. And now we also know that Hubbard's book is being sold at every (unless I am mistaken) CCEB concerts (Steve mentionned it, a friend also witnessed it at the Montreal Jazz Fest). I am reading between the lines and I conlude that Chick is VERY much involved. And he has all the rights to do so too, I am merely stating what I reason to be a fact.

But then again at the end of the interview, what he said about his father didn't sound like he told the story to get back at him, on the contrary he ended on a positive note, wished him well almost. Remember that Hubbard Jr. was in hidding, even changed his identity for a while. Why do you think? He was supposed to become the next #1... He knew too much. Go to jonthibault's link and the picture gets clearer and clearer. It's not like Hubbard Jr. was the only ex-scientologist in hidding. Any organisation that does not let you leave PEACEFULLY out of your own free will is one you must be on your guards with. That alone is a major warning sign.
